Once his show gets cancelled and the spotlight is off him, he may start to focus 100% on racing instead of all his other activities. If he still wants to race after the showbiz phase fizzles, then I think yes, he can.

I think what you wrote plus all the pressure of being "the fastest man on the planet" has gotten to him. He obviously has the talent and the speed, but something is not clicking.
