The AMA made a mistake and issued him 911 on his license for the year.
They asked him to change it at st Louis for the remainder of season . So he did ..

Thanks for asking

Man, Bowers must have got good quick!

74 is a much faster number than 911. That's why Transgoatius Pastrami (number 199) could never win.

The number on the list at AMAsupercross.com has said #74 for Bowers all year.

The explanation I heard was that Bowers just came with the same number he'd been running in arenacross and they mistakenly allowed him to run it at St Louis but told him to use his assigned number after that.

Did the AMA compensate him or his sponsors for new jerseys/numbers and such?

Wrong. He had #1 in Arenacross... I doubt the AMA would have let him run #1...
Check BigT's answer... I think he would know what he's talking about...

We tried to find you guys in STL and were pulling hard for him in Indy. He showed some good stuff! I hope he keeps getting better.

Glad he transferred out of the heat the LCQ was stacked!

You must get your info from the same place as Mathis .. Haha.
His licenses the AMA sent to him said 911 on it. We checked with them twice before st louis
The gave him a new one at Daytona .

If you would like anymore correct info for Ty please ask one of us..
People tend to elaborate a little to much.
We would be glad to tell you.

Thanks to every one that stopped by to see Ty during the past few weeks
he is looking forward to seeing more of you ..

Thanks big T. Smile
