Congrats to Deano, definitely coming into his own! Some questions, is he or isn't he Canadian? What does he have to say? I remember through his amateur days as he being Canadian, originally from Scotland, then he started doing uber good and he changed to Scottish? Jeff ward has been "American" and ridden for the US of A since I can remember but he was born in Scotland! Am I missing something?

Any member of the commonwealth should be able to ride for Great Britain or it's former ridings! I did some more searching and found that when Darcy Lange was in contention for the SX title, he was being listed as being from California.

he and his parents hold Canadian passports, but they have clearly stated that they are Scottish. When you see Dean's name on the TV broadcast, there is a Scottish flag next to his name - at his request.

the Canadians are disappointed about that.

No we're not.His family is Scottish and he was born there so that's what he is.

Oh yeah,I'd also like for him to develop a Scottish accent as well.

Who cares where he's from? I hope he calls Honda his home in a few years. He is so fast and smooth. I like Barcia, but I think Wilson is a much more complete racer.
