It's a Factory Team; and, we're ALL waiting in the "2nd rider" announcement. I can't imagine NOT hiring Bogle.

I hope never with him as a rider. I want to see Reed as a team manager with a good rider on board.

*edit - not saying Reed isn't a good rider. I mean a younger good rider.

Yep, and I think he appears to be the fastest available rider with potential right now. He has shown very good pace the last couple nationals. I'd like to how he'll do in SX on a 450. I hope Yamaha does sign him.

Sounds much better to me than MCR for bogle.. Plus I'm sure bogle wants to stay in the USA mcr does all the different series

I'm not being a hater at all. He has had a great career. This is a young person sport. I hate seeing him struggle thru the huge ups and downs. You have to realize he is on the back side of his career. Even he does.

I'm just saying I;d like to see him stop fighting it and transition to management and possibly kill in the legends race with the other heroes of the sport.

I don't see Yamaha dropping the coin on Reed and Bogle in the same year. I say they get going with Reed and keep options on Martin, Webb and Plessinger- some go to JGR and some go to the factory team.

I think Kawi will cave on Bogle's price and pull the trigger.

Indeed he does. But know when to transition. I think he has proved his place in history already. I don't think there should be a need to prove anything else. Why try to extract that last little drop of success out of an already great career? Let go Chad. It's ok!

He's not trying to prove anything? He believes he can still win. If he wanted to retire he would have shut down 22 and retired. But he still wants to race Sx only he's made it pretty known outdoors are done

This all depends on what he accepts in the from of a contract: Base versus Bonus. He's going to have to make that kind of decision. A few others have already paved the way...

If he wants Factory Equipment, he'll have to take what they're offering (likely a lower base than he wants).

Are you referring to Reed or Bogle? We know Reed's not afraid to take all his incentive as win bonus- that's his trademark.

Exactly he can still win in sx and he's made it known he's done with outdoors beside one off races like usgp (I think he wants to do)

Bogle

He's in an "odd year" situation where everyone-else is in the 2nd year of existing contracts and there's only a few spots available. Also, he hasn't lit the world on fire on a 450.

Also, the way everyone is writting off the MCR possibilities is almost funny. They're still out there and there bikes WORK. Vince's Honda was working really well this summer. I think it's a very viable option for him.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Hahn is resigned for next year and bogle got left out in the rain.

with Martin probably coming on board for 2017, I don't see them signing anyone for more than one year. I really think it'll just be Reed, and he will shift over to the MGMT position for 2017 with Martin as the rider. It just makes the most sense right now.

All I know is the MEC is going to look VASTLY different this year.

You pay him a compliment and they still try to beat your ass. Laughing

If Reed would drop all the cryptic drama b/s and focus on just riding(which he may have an easier time doing now) I see where he could get several more years Windham style out of his career. Super talented and always a threat to run up front with even the occasional win. Impressive at his "old" age. He has a huge fan base and is good for the sport.

Everyone loved it when windham continjed to ride past his prime with no realistic chance of winning a race. I dont see why everyone wants to kick reed out of the sport. Big difference between windham and reed is hes a multi time champion and even won a race last year. I think Reed will surprise a few people again this year. Like he continues to do.

They wouldn't have to spend all that much on Bogle, do you? I mean...is he reported to be asking the moon? And, Reedy would probably ride with a small salary & incentive/performance bonuses to make up for it. He's not having to build an empire. He's already built it.

Kawi is probably not going to have Monster next year if all the rumors are true, so maybe they actually don't have the coin, especially after forking for Tomac. The fact that they got Tomac is the only thing that makes me think Monster is sticking around the Kawi pits.

Reed and Nicoletti on a one year full deal, testing and outdoor next as Martin and Webb move over to the factory team(s) and Reed calls it a day after supercross.

when will reed just retire u mean.

If it goes sub par in 2016 he should, as i always say i like reed but i hate seeing him outside the top ten and beyond. yes theres flashes of brilliance but not enough.

Maybe he just loves to ride though i tell myself. so ill shut up

i dont get why everyone wants reed to retire. im not even a fan of the guy, but i still would rather have his old self on the line potentially battling up front, even its only a couple races, than some other random that would be lucky to take top 15. imo, the more notable riders on the line, the better.

Suspension-wise you can buy just about EVERYTHING your heart desires.

ECU? The Red-Box isn't "all the rage" compared to some of the other stuff, complete w/data-acquisition, that's available these days.

It's Sooooo Easy to make a competitive a Honda.

And you, of all people, know this!
Remember that fast motor Preston had that was as good/better than some of the "in-house" stuff?

Sure, MCR could buy the good suspension- but I don't think they will.

Can't buy the factory ECU, and if you could it requires a technician who is fluent in Japanese.

Vince Friese has great results on his 2014 CRF450R. I'm a fan for sure.

BTW- How is it that you are 1,000 feet from my shop today and you don't stop by? AND you send someone else over to pick up your rear wheel that's been on my wheel rack for 2 YEARS???

Really, TeamGreen? Really?
