One moto too many in my book, I wish they would do away with the WMX at the nationals completely

wow all the macho boys tryin' to punk the girls... you so bad.

I think it's awesome. Huge amount of the population that can add tremendously to the industry.

I myself like girls.

MX Sports could learn a lot from the way the Aussie MX nationals are run. They tried combining the ladies mx nationals with the guys, and no one was interested in it, so they canned it. They didnt continue to run it for the sake of a few, they just gave them their own series. Also here in Australia, you can run a 250 two stroke in the lites class at the pro level. It still needs a top level rider if they want to be battling for a podium spot. I am glad things are right here in the moto world in Aus.

The resources going to support the women could be much better spent helping out second tier guys.

You want MX to be mainstream? - you include the Girls. Alienating half the population doesn't make sense.
I love it and they're only going to get better if they've got something to aim at.
They also need to take themselves seriously and quit the stupid pin-up shots in bikinis (it only appeals to middle aged sad cases) and has no place in this day and age..

Exactly.
Why in the world wouldn't you want to grow the sport by including a huge segment of the fan base?

The girls and womens classes and entries into other classes at local races around here has been growing steadily.
More racers on the line at the local level means more sales and more opportunities at the top level.

Simple solution:

Six rounds WMA National Championship

Six rounds 125cc National Championship

DC has already said wmx isn't going anywhere... there must be some contract between them, otherwise, no business plan would include selling products that most paying customers don't want. Funny, at Hangtown, some of the d-bag 'insiders' that claim they support wma were in food lines during the ladies' motos. When wma was the last moto of the day, these same guys left to get back to their hotel to get ready for the night. This is no bash on the riders either, I know they're bad ass, but they just don't belong in a national show.

The ROI with someone like Ashley Fiolek is much higher than a second tier guy. If only she were fast enough to run with the guys...

They don't add the girls in any other main stream sports so I'm not sure how this helps it go mainstream. If they have a women's series it's run on its own. With that said this sports not mainstream and in my opinion isn't getting many new fans and this might allow the industry to grow a bit. With that said it is boring to watch the girls go which looks super slow after watching the guys ride the track. Maybe make them go first so they don't look as slow.

As myself and others have said 6 WMX and 6 Pro/Am races. I think everybody wins.

I rest my case, but then again I did enjoy watching this race because it was very entertaining but for all the wrong reasons. Yeah I know I am a jackass but its just my nature.

Anybody who says the women are even close to as fast as the men and blind or stoned or both.

That must be why the NFL, NBA, and MLB have women perform during the men's games. lol

I am all for women racing motocross in the pro classes at Nationals and Supercross. No reason to discriminate against them and make them race separate from the men.

Lame. You use what you got, see Danica Patrick.

So the reason mx isn't maintream is because the girls don't have TV time? Let the women get up to speed before you give them time. They just are not ready yet as a whole.

this is not motocross and most of you - maybe you included - wouldn't finish a lap around tat EX track.

I don't believe anyone questions the fact that women are as fast as men or close. I don't think this was even the point in having a WMX series.

Why the hell does everybody want a 125 series?? I think it would be pointless, who is going to race it? It's not like Roczen or Poto or any other big name guy is gonna risk losing the REAL title tiddlin around on a 125.

Pointless? Thirty plus years of 125cc Nationals pointless? What is pointless is 250F SX East West regionals on $200,000.00 bikes. That is what's pointless.

I didn't say the titles won on the bikes were pointless or that the bike themselves were pointless. I said it would be pointless to waste the time at a pro nat. for some nostalgic class and I know for a fact you can build a VERY competitive bike for less than 20,000 not 200K.

Sounds pretty pointless to me. A bunch of mid pack B and C riders racing around is about as exciting as the WMX series.
