Got word yesterday...... A vet only (30 and up) race is brewing for February 11/12 weekend at TNT motorsports in Chester SC about an hour south of Charlotte on 77........ Ike Dejager will be running the show. Will be a 4 or 5 race series spread out over Feb- April ....... Will post more details when I get them.
Word is there will be at least 2 divisions in each age class something like C/B & A but if there is enough that show up could be divided into C, B A

Hope they put some work into the track otherwise it will be blue groove like it has been every time I have visited.
There is no pressure, stress or burden as practice starts at noon and racing at 1 pm. The very first or initial race of the “Senior Race Series” will be on Sunday, February 12, 2012, as mentioned at TNT Motorsports Park, Chester, SC.
The good news is that the “Senior Race Series” will be a monthly event, allowing the senior motocross riders fun in the saddle, at least once a month.
On race day we will have the following classes:
+35 Beginners +35 Experienced
+40 Beginners +40 Experienced
+45 Beginners +45 Experienced
+50 Beginners +50 Experienced
+55 Beginners +55 Experienced
Entry fees will be $25.00 per Class. You can enter online at www.2020racingacademy.com as no entries will be accepted on raceday.
Trophies will be awarded for each class.
This is an opportunity or an occasion for us seniors to enjoy maybe own that day that “Brings Back the Past”.
The Shop
Also, pre-entry only? Come on now.
And classes for age 35+ only, that eliminates anyone under the age of 40 who wants to race at least 2 classes. Anyone younger than 40 can race one class. I thought most vet races had +25, +30, +35....
You gotta figure the younger vets want to race more classes. Here only the older vets get to race more classes.
Lastly, what will the format be? And how long will the motos be?
Ive been to TNT a bunch to just ride, getting cleared from a shoulder surgery at the end of Jan and was actually interested in hitting this up, especially if they rip and water that hardpack to make some nice ruts.
I personally really like that track....its tight and challenging......not just WFO with long straights.
Not sure of the exact how or where details but they are going to add to the track and disc it deep.
Natural Track, Long Motos are so fun.
No 25 or 30 puts me out though.
Why not stagger start the two divisions in each age class to free up some time?
While I like the idea of sleeping in on race day I don't know how they can get everything done in only 5 hours. I'm afraid practice needs to start at 9
As for the rest of the day.....seems like comparing Apples and oranges
(the first track he rides) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOiuYZLdOSI
If so I wouldn't waste a trip out there unless you live within an hour of the place. They would have to do some mad work to it to make it fun to race on. Or even ride for that matter. Why don't they just do it on their main track? That would call for some better racing and riding.
I don't want to be a debbie downer either...I do like the facility and the fact that its the only place around charlotte thats open during the week but it does seem like this event is going to fail. Just my opinion.
Ok just checked the website and it still says Feb 12th, +35 up and it's going to be on the small track with pre-entry required. I'm still shaking my head thinking is this guy serious!
Pit Row
This has that same feel to it..........
Again, pre-entry and no 25 and 30 age group is the promoter shooting himself in the foot.
They can keep the change which will be a coupahun....
From what I'm reading here and there I'm not even sure if it pays cahs or check.
