Never really was a pig. Yamahas overbearing factory get up was just a joke until Star took over.

Never thought I would see ET on a Yamaha so I was excited for him at the beginning of the season because I'm a Yamaha fan.
Man congrats to Eli and the Team. Good Job !!!

Gotta admit, when the news started getting out that he was going to Star my first thought was they offered him a ton of money and he was going to ride the rest of his career out and just collect his pay but damn was I wrong. Was awesome to see what he did this year and hopefully the knee issue won’t keep him out of the outdoors.

Yamaha 450 dry spell is officially over. Just wondering if Honda will ever win a 450SX title

Yup.

Yamaha and it’s fat bloated factory effort was the “pig”. Factory Yamaha goes away, two championships. Cooper goes Orange, two championships.

People seem to forget that Cooper said before going to KTM and Aldon’s he was practicing at 75% and being with Aldon everyone there was riding at 100% during the week and that made a huge difference for him.

Wasn’t just the bike because Coop had some good rides on Yamaha.

As pointed out during the broadcast, this win in front of his home crowd is a big contrast to his 2020 covid naked win.
Well done champ. Well done Star Yamaha.
Yamaha of Japan, you suck!

Japan? Wasn’t the big issue McCarty and the other old guys running the factory team here?

Fun fact as far as Yamaha goes.

Factory Yamaha hasn’t won a premier class SX title since 2004.
2008 Chad was L&M
2009 James was L&M
And now Tomac with Star.

Was the last Factory Yamaha title in 2007 with Langston?

Yes, this showed again this year when Webb left Aldons and looks to have slipped back into old habits. The results look very similar to his Yamaha days.

I thought I read McCarty said his orders came from Japan, not his fault!

He would have done it on a Suzuki with a cable clutch…

I absolutely believe Tomac could win on any bike as long as the team is listening to what he wants/needs.

The only pig here is the bike without any SX championships since it's conception, and yes I'm talking about Honda.
