Let me tell you what they just did..........
There is a kid up here in Alabama who mowed lawns, chopped wood, whatever he had to do buy himself a bike. The people who sold him this bike took total advantage of him being excited about getting his first real bike. In short, the bike was worn out. Everytime he rode the thing, it would break. He would go back to mowing lawns and working his butt off to get the money for the parts. On the last breakdown, the whole top wqas completely trashed. As you could probably tell, his folks do not have much money but they are honest great people and believe in working for what they get. Honestly, they are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. The Stewarts got word of him and what he was going through just to have a motorcycle to ride.
This past week, a package showed up at this kids door with most everything he needed to get his bke back to running again. They did not ask for the kid to pay for anything, even shipping. They did it out of the goodness of their hearts. They do not know this kid at all.
They made an honest, hard working kid very happy and he was absolutely speechless. To the Stewarts, it may not have been much and they didn't really have to do it....but they did and that meant the world to this kid. I have never seen a kid so excited. That's what I call priceless.

The Shop
I think you misread it.
The original story is pretty cool. It's awesome to hear about someone that motivated, it's just a bummer that he got taken advantage of. It's also cool that people are willing to help out.
I hope he thanx the Stewarts or LB will be P1SSED
If any one of us on here met this kid and had the means to do so, they would do just that but the Stewarts stepped up and sent him the parts. If this kid walked up to the Stewarts, they would have no idea who he is, they have never met him. They are great folks.
I will sponsor him for race fees and such on his first race and make sure he has all the gear he needs when he wants to race. I personally cannot wait to watch that race.
A friend and I offered to do all the work but he said he did not want to put us out like that and his Dad and him would try.....but he did ask if he could call if he had a problem.
Jackson, I have no idea if he has any talent. I have never seen him ride long enough to see but I do know he has the heart of a lion. Look at what he has gone through just to ride.
Pit Row
I'm sure the Stewart's know all about hard work.I'm sure it took them many many years of hard work to get where they are today. Great to see them helping out a total stranger that has a passion for the sport.
If possible, try to keep us updated on this kid.
And if you can...try to get us video of his first race.
Exactly, that is the reason ...the smile. We all hear about the bad stuff, I just wanted everyone to hear some good stuff. One of the coolest parts is that #7 is his favorite rider and this kid went to the mailbox and got a package from him. We are all pretty much used to bumping into the guys in the mags but this kid is far removed from that. Could you imagine the look on his face? And the first thing he did was call me and say "Mr. Nick, you aren't going to believe this..."
I will be sure to get soome pictures from his first posted up at the very least. Man, I cannot wait for that day.
EID, I sent you a message.
Way to go Stewarts.
FCR, that was a good thing you did.
I don't want to say the guys name who sold him the bike but it does tweak my nips that someone would do this. They had a HUGE parts bin that they could have visited to make the bike a bit more dependable. The last bike we sold, we thought it was in tip top shape but the first time the kid rode it, it blew a fork seal.... the second time it ate the top end. He called to ask where to buy the parts and I told him to bring the bike over and gave him the choice of buyng the bike back or fixing it. He said he would take care of it but asked if I could help him fix itdo the work. Of course I said yes and I ordered the parts and fixed the bike and gave it back to him....he wanted to pay but I said no. The bike was has been pretty trouble free since. Anyone who knows us absolutely knows we do NOT have much money but I would have felt awful if I didn't make it right. Whenever we see him, he comes over and hangs out just to talk. Making it right hurt a little but I think I did the right thing.
