Liked when Yamaha ran these outdoors with DV and Reed. I cannot find a good pic of it on the stand though.

yeah, it's a matter of opinion if you ask me. Some of the bikes in that list are not even close to some of the team bikes out there!

like the 1994 race spec honda 125 gp team

Gotta be a matter of opinion because that thing looks like a bunch of leftover parts thrown together. There is no flow to the design, it's just mixed, choppy colors.

I know it is very subjective, but IMO not a single bike on the list deserved to be there. Smile

Off the top of my head head I can name countless other bikes:
1999 YoT
1997 Chesterfield Yamaha
1998 Factory Honda (both US and GP)
2007 Factory Yamaha
etc etc

Great picks guys. I really enjoy your articles.

My personal favorites, not including the ones already on your list:

The SR250 in this pic:

Normally I hate chrome but this bike just screamed factory among all the lesser machines.

Classic

Maybe it was the rider that made this bike look soooo good going around the track but I've been in love with this one ever since:

One of the cleanest bikes ever.

I could look through bike pictures all day but better get back to work.

gp bikes just look so bulky and heavy put up to ama, dont you think?

i think the worst times for gps was when they gave up side number plates for sponsors etc, just looked shit man.

I had no clue Alessi's bike looks so freaking awesome. I love the red on white look.

Hands down it would have to be the 95 YZ250 factory bikes. It was the year the OEM bikes were that hideous white/purple/orange and the factory bikes were the blue/white that they still are today. I'll see if I can find a picture. Emig was on a 250 and I think he was #6. Had to be the biggest turn around from OEM to factory ever, cosmetically.

It's a billboard. No thanks.

I don't like it when the graphics are basically just the main sponsor's logo as big as possible.

I don't agree at all! I think there was something magic about the 92-94 factory cr's and the 03-05 yz's ...simple and clean!

Both of those were real favorites of mine overall, but if you red by premise at the beginning I was trying to pick the best team graphics packages, not just the best looking bikes. That meant I was staying away from bikes like the '04 YZ250 because it is basically a stock graphics package with a yamalube decals added. I love the looks of the bike, but it hardly qualifies as much of a team graphic. Likewise, the 92 CR is a stock looking bike with a wing. Clean and simple but not much of a departure.

In any case It is always fun to have the debate. thanks for reading.

And of course the Honda of Troy bikes as well.

I actually owned this ex Mike Craig bike for a couple of years.

Watching these fly around Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix was amazing. They were like a silver blur...
