Supercross Main Events

Bring back the Semi's and a 30 minute +2 lap main event and I would be happy.

Or even running the 2 Moto format in SX would be cool (2 20 lap mains/motos).

Honestly think it would be sweet to see it moto format with the 2 motos because then you could give people better chances with points and starts. The 2 motos should even out the points more fairly because if you have a mishap like reed you wouldn't lose the whole weekends worth of points, just half of them but still he wouldn't have nearly been out of it because of one or 2 races. Also it shows who really is dominant and who just got a lucky break with a start or an accident. Plus it should give the media people more footage to report and cover if you have 2 main motos then you need to get coverage of both and can talk to the riders about bike set up and first main results and how they are going to attack the 2nd main. I like it. The way its set up now works too but would be interesting.

I totally agree. It just hasn't been the same since they stopped the semis. The live program is way to short without them.

As far as a two moto format I don't think w/all the live events on tv they could pull that off at this point but I agree a 30 min +2 lap main is something that needs to happen. Last year most the mains were 15 min sprints and IMO that doesn't cut it. What's even worse is the lites mains were often 10 min races.

It's getting tougher to justify driving 6-7 hrs round trip to Seattle to watch such short races.

too cold to sit in an open stadium for 2 mains in my oppinion.. If the beer was cheaper id be down to spend maaany hours at the races!

2 moto format for 450s and 1 main for 250s.15 laps each!

In the interest of the TV package and the real world issues that accompany that, I think they should keep everything as is except instead of 20 laps they should do 25 minutes plus two laps. It fits neatly into the tv time slot with the heat races and they could get rid of the lame ass filler they put up now. Plus we would actually get to see some racing instead of the short little sprints we get now.

but the 1st main would take about the same time as 2 heat races would. so what's the difference?

30 was outdoors not SX....... 2 motos is confusing to the spectators......but I liked the Heats, Semi & LCQ to get into the main.
