I got dirt in my right footpeg this weekend and rode the last 15 minutes with my right foot 2 inches higher than my left. Hey,that's just like when Magoo had to ride with one side of his bars snapped off! Blink

I get rocks/dirt jammed in there all the time making my peg stand straight up. I might order a set of those if they are available.

i agree, guy b. they are a cheap insurance policy to keep dirt/rocks/mud out, but necessity? nah, people have been racing without them for decades.

When you are racing off road, you make the bike bulletproof as you can to last.
In motocross, the covers aren't necessary, but off road, I can see them being useful.

They need a cover to keep the rocks out of your brake pedal and shifter.

Way back in the day for mud races we use a old inner tube and some safety wire to do the same thing.

If you have ever had mud compacted into your peg, you know all to well that this is a very, good preventive item...I am ordering some RIGHT NOW !

The elimination of any fail, is good. To have your peg stuck up can slow you down.

A second here, and second there, can add up to a minute loss on the track.
