Seventeen year-old Mark Worth suffered a series of injuries from his crash during the first practice of the Monster Energy Supercross at Anaheim 1. Worth sustained a dislocated and fractured elbow, and dislocated hip, from a crash on the dragons back. After spending the last 3 1/2 months off the bike, and talking with the team and others in Worth’s camp; the decision was made to return to amateur racing so he can compete in the AMA Amateur Motocross National Championships at Loretta Lynn’s and then compete at the final three Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Nationals. “I am just getting cleared to get back to training and as we looked at everything and my time off the bike we felt it would be best for me to get my confidence back and training all in place versus rushing into the Nationals” said Worth. “Marky is a very talented rider who has a bright professional career ahead of him. It was an unfortunate injury he sustained, however, still having his amateur status available will allow him to get himself back to the level he needs to be at to run up front when he gets to the Nationals”, said team owner Jimmy Albertson.
