Seventeen year-old Mark Worth suffered a series of injuries from his crash during the first practice of the Monster Energy Supercross at Anaheim 1. Worth sustained a dislocated and fractured elbow, and dislocated hip, from a crash on the dragons back. After spending the last 3 1/2 months off the bike, and talking with the team and others in Worth’s camp; the decision was made to return to amateur racing so he can compete in the AMA Amateur Motocross National Championships at Loretta Lynn’s and then compete at the final three Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Nationals. “I am just getting cleared to get back to training and as we looked at everything and my time off the bike we felt it would be best for me to get my confidence back and training all in place versus rushing into the Nationals” said Worth. “Marky is a very talented rider who has a bright professional career ahead of him. It was an unfortunate injury he sustained, however, still having his amateur status available will allow him to get himself back to the level he needs to be at to run up front when he gets to the Nationals”, said team owner Jimmy Albertson.

I thought he moved up a little too early. I love watching the kid ride, but I wish he could stay on the bike because he's so damn fast!

I wonder if they'll sign on a replacement for nationals.

As long as Jimmy Albertson, Kyle Cunningham, and Josh Osby are all healthy, that'll give them three riders. I wouldn't be surprised to see them just continue on with those guys.

The Ride 365/Crossland/Honda team was supposed to do select outdoor rounds, not sure if that is still on though.

Kyle posted the other day that he's actively searching for an Outdoor ride, or it was in an interview.

I'm confused; if he raced Anaheim, how can he go back to being an amateur?

I think technically since he never made the top 40 in supercross or motocross he can race whatever class he is eligible correct? Even if he holds his pro license he can run whatever he is eligible for at the amateur nationals.

I just looked it up. He did an interview with racer X back in November and said that he got his points the previous year when they had the loophole of just qualifying for the night show and getting your points. He said he was fast enough to qualify and that got him his points.
