This really isnt important or interesting in any way I was just curious.
I started racing when I was 3 years old. I raced every year till I was 18.
I just turned 19 a few days ago. I havent been on a track or near a bike
in a year. I still follow it. I still talk to my friends that race. I still think its a
badass sport and after doing it for that long there will obviously always
be that love for moto. I went to Oak Hill. I went to Ponca. I qualified for
Lorettas(couldnt afford to go.) I did some Washougal Am days. I was
doing decent in the B Class for 2 years and then it hit me. I will never
make it anywhere in the sport. I wont be the next MC or Ricky, James,
whoever. Ill be Michael Church. Top 10 B Rider. I guess I just realized it
was time to grow up. I dropped out of school to race. I dropped everything.
I had a fairly serious gf. Lost that. Lost my education. Needless to say when
I quit racing I signed back up for school and graduated from Penn Foster
about 3 weeks ago. It just feels like I missed out on a lot from racing. Was
it worth it? I dont know yet.... Its to soon to tell.

Which is what leads me to this.

I found a 2001 Suzuki RM125 for $950 dollars. In decent shape if you can believe it. I bought it and will pick it up next friday. I am putting together a parts list of everything I will buy. It will be a new bike when Im finished and I will (of course) do a before and after shot for my fellow Vitaldrivers. I guess the reason I picked this up was because of the price and for the simple fact that I wanted to have fun again. I want to ride. Not race. But load up with my brother and a friend and go to the hills. Grab our shovels and go build jumps. Race my little tiddler at local friday night races. Drink beer. Do the stuff that made having a motorcycle worthwhile. Just ride and enjoy the freedom. I have 1 set of gear laying around, 1 helmet and a leatt. So of course Ill need to grab some new boots and a few odds and ends but I am looking forward to being back on the bike again. To express yourself through riding. To have fun with my friends. To not care about 1st or 31st.

When you guys go ride today or this weekend think about that. Remember why you bought a bike. Do ride the wheels off it and have a blast. It doesnt matter if your fast or slow, tall or short, skinny or fat, just go have fun with a couple friends. Bring your wife out and include her. Remind your kids thats why theyre on their bike. To have as much fun as possible. Have a good weekend guys.

Felt so good to finally get it off my back. Finally went from
a racer to what a normal 19 year old should be like haha.
