There's no need in doing 20 laps in free practice. Look at the top GP riders. They are used to a similar concept. Dungey probably just wanted to ride since he's been unable to the last couple of days.

That's Youthstream's M.O. nowadays. They cut 1/3 off my local track for the Finnish GP. I guess they think it's good for TV.
