MEC Bench Racing - Night Show

Has it been mentioned that KR had the best starts all night of anyone? Even in the third moto with a far outside gate pick he was at the front in the first turn. He was leading every moto by the second turn.

Seems like the MEC had traits of the typical supercross seasons lately. Roczen was fast as shit, but a bobble cost him. Tomac was fast as shit, but starts still seem to be a burden. Dungey didn't stand out anywhere particular, but he was able to repeat very, very fast laps and put himself in a position to compete for the win.

Roczen to me looked like he was pushing a little to hard on the Honda yeah he was very quick but didn't quite look as precise as he did on the Suzuki but then again it's to be expected but damn the kid had some speed !

The Honda looks a reasonably tall bike now a little like the Yamaha don't you think ?

I say switch to this format for SX. Notice how good the racing was? Because the first 5-6 laps of any race is the most interesting. So with three starts you have triple the action. Let's face it, the waning laps of most Supercross races are really boring anyhow.
Riders seemed to fight more in this one, also. Maybe because you don't have to be as conservative when you have three chances to win, instead of just one race.

Edit: it did take him 4 laps to get around JA in the 3rd moto, but Roczen and holeshots is a bad combo for the rest.

I think it's weird that riders use the joker lane in the last couple of laps, even if they are stuck behind a clearly slower rider. Taking the joker lane on the last lap only makes sense for the guy that is in the lead.

chances are high that you get stuck behind an even slower rider by going in earlier

Eh, he looked heaps smooth in the first moto. Also, that Honda looks tiny compared to his zook.

This was MEC, not a supercross race and says very little about the upcoming season. The same fast riders will be fast.

Not much to work with there, someone must have a higher res photo. But yes I agree Photoshopping needs to happen. But people, it's almost 2017. Time for some moving images.

Let me check out the races on daily motion and have another closer look.

Edit: I disagree with you yeah he looks pretty good but not as good as his Suzuki which to be honest after what 2 weeks you can understand, come A1 Kenny will be smoking the field. Well I hope
