Apparently, the announcement is imminent.

The latest news on the Super X website appears to be the race report from the Brisbane finalé. This report was posted on 5 December 2010 and refers to Matt Moss as the Lites Champion - as was the general understanding at the time. The question over the legitimacy of Matt's win surfaced a day or two after the event. The uncertainty appears to have something to do with how the season points were calculated.

My understanding is that all riders' points are being recalculated to clearly establish, once and for all, everyones finishing position. We should know the final final results soon. I hope.

WOW!......Right on! I feel for Mossy though. I'm a little confused as to what exactly happened at the last round , that made this so confusing though?

Simple really and congratts to PJ, they gave Matt 3 points when he didnt finish more than 75% of the 2nd race as he crossed the finish line, where he got ripped off was by the people running it as they announced and told Matt that he and PJ were equal pts with one race to go, so Matt passed PJ and settled for 2nd instead of chasing the leader as he was told by officials he didnt need to, chance at the championship taken away by the officials mistake, so its a dud really.

Regrettably, the confusion over this matter is, in my opinion, an embarrassment for the Australasian Supercross Championship and a disappointing way to end, what was otherwise, a well run and closely contested series – bad weather aside.

I feel both riders have been robbed through no fault of their own - Matt Moss now has to relinquish a title he felt he rightly earned and PJ Larsen did not get the opportunity to enjoy the moment his achievement deserved.

It may also be argued that both PJ and Matt may have run different race strategies had the "correct" points been known in advance of the last two races in Brisbane; albeit, the rain soaked track probably made staying upright the only viable strategy.

Old Mate,

I couldn't have put it more eloquently myself: "It's a dud!"

PJ,

In Old Mate's defence; I think he's having a go at the organisers, and how the final results were handled (mishandled?), and not at you personally. My criticism is also aimed at the organisers.

I, along with many Aussies, are grateful to have overseas riders contest our domestic Outdoor Nationals and Super X series. You, in particular, are an excellent example: a decent person, a good ambassador for your country and a worthy champion. It's just a shame how things ended up.

Congratulations. We'd love to see you back down under again.

Wow, that's a lot of asterisks.

I think any question marks should reside with the organisers and not with the riders. Matt and PJ gave us all one Hell of a series.

did anyone else see Moss's after race interview, He was not psyched on the JDR deal and pretty much kept saying how he would come back to Suzuki after he has another try in the state. I bet he's even less pumped now, even tho its not the team or the rider. Will this play on his mind for 2011?? will he put in the work - testing and whatnot?? i guess time will tell but seeing him on a KTM will be weird

Supercross Pro Lites Results provisional as Suzuki appeal
December 13, 2010

Following recent confirmation of a correction to results in the 2010 Australian Pro Lites Supercross Championship, Motorcycling Australia (MA) has received an appeal to the published results from Suzuki Australia.
MA was aware of Suzuki’s intention to appeal if there was a change to the results, and as such, in accordance with the Manual of Motorcycle Sport, the results are provisional pending the outcome of the appeal process.

The appeal process will commence immediately, however owing to the holiday period is unlikely that the situation will be resolved until the New Year.
