looks like a KX80F1 frame, which is an 83 model 79cc model , (and frame number confirm that)

kawasaki made 82cc and 79cc models as different places in the world have different rules at that time,

Looks like a 1985 KX80. 84 was the first year for disc brake, but 85 was the first year for the boxed aluminum swingarm. 83-85 all shared plastic, but 83,84 bikes had black frames, 85 was silver. Great bikes.

When I was a junior doing both dirt and MX in the 80's, there were a few of the 84-85 conversions with the KX60 engine put in the 80 chassis and the 60 14 inch front and 12 inch rear rims laced up for the bigger kids still racing that class and also for the better disc brake front and longer wheelbase for dirt track handling. The longer 83 and 4 or box style 85 swingarms were more common mod for the longer wheelbase.
There was some cool backyard and shop engineering in those days getting about in juniors. These days it's mostly about bling and "colorways". Hate that word.

That’s crazy you guys know all this stuff about older bikes. I thought it was a joke. Cool to see a 80 frame with a 60 motor

The only way I remember this stuff is that we had a bunch of bikes pass through our Pro-Trac's back in the day....

83 and 84 had a roundish style airbox that was a pain in the butt to clean the filter on. In 85 they got smart and put a screw on lid on the airbox, this is definitely an 85 airbox in the picture.
