Moose-Can would be saying it without trying to add any french accent at all, rly it is pronounced more like mo-skawhn with with the first part being said faster then the second part and the h being partly silent.

I was at the press conference (I think Steel City) where they asked him about it. He said Moose-can.

Watch at 0:11 for the correct pronunciation.

That doesn't sound unreasonable. My French-speaking ex-wife used to just shake her head sadly when I'd try to pronounce French words.

Okay, from now on I'll pronounce it Marvin SmoothAndFast.

However you pronounce it, I'm just glad to see another Frenchman coming over who is more like ST, DV and SR instead of JMB and MP. Sorry, I cannot spell their names, as I'm just a stupid yank :D

'Moos kin' would be closer, but yanks are renowned for butchering anything that didnt originate from the good ol US of Eh. Moose Can, with the emphasis on the CAN sounds just plain ignorant...Ralph!

Hey, I think you didn't realize you are logged into the American site today, not the Aussie one! LOL

Stop with the yank bashing already. It's not an American thing. I guarantee if he went and raced in Australia not every Aussie would be pronouncing his name with perfect French pronunciation and accent.

Anytime someone goes to another country their name is going to get pronounced by the locals with some local spin/accent on it. I know you're just screwing around because I know that you know this better than anyone else! Hell, the Aussies do it to me all the time.

The Mu is pronounced the way you'd say the word muse.
The squ has a sibilant s and a k sound.
The uin has a short a sound, with a silent n, but the silent n gives it a nasal quality on the last syllable.

Saying moose can gets you close, but with all the inflection taken out.

Try moo-ski-on.

Emig and crew (sorry RV) can't even mispronounce it consistently.

@racerxonline Racer X
We spoke to ktm's Roger Decoster who confirmed that Musquin will probably do about 3-4 races on the east on a ktm 350
