With reedy having his own team etc and the biggest sponser seeming to be BelRay , does he have any chance of making decent money this year?
Alot of factory guys finish way lower than he does and they are getting PAID to race.
Wouldn't he have been better off taking less money than he wanted to at least be on a team and get paid instead of paying for everything himself - when their is no money coming in?
Anyone actually know how this works?

His sponsors pay "his business"
and if there is enough money, "his business," pay him a salary.
Just as they pay their staff, Chad is an employer-employee...aka self-employed
I am sure Chad gets the usual, if not an enhanced, bonus from Honda, as well as from all of his other sponsors.
Keep in mind also, typically one of the largest financial sponsors to a team is the gear company.
1. he can
2.his wife said he could
3. he is a great rider
4. $$$$$$$$
5. he got a late start getting a deal
6. mo money
7. Auusie sx is paying his way
8. championship money from mx.
9. who cares
10. he Chad Reed for petes sake.
Which Chad is lucky that Shift/Fox also make their beans in sports other than moto.
Chad is taking all the risk on funding his own team. That should gain him some respect with in the moto community.

I would imagine breaking even on this first year would be a good thing.......
does he write himself a check every week?..........I doubt that. I would think
the help get's paid that way, but a guy like him won't know how much he made or
lost till the end of the season.
Self employment, it ain't for eveybody.
He's a sharp guy, similar to Albee.
If you had ever spent your own money investing in a race team, you would know that its not uncommon for those who promise, along with contractually agreeing to financially support the team, don't alway honor their agreements.
But Just from things I've heard here and there it's more other peoples money than it is his. This could be completely wrong though.
Whats wrong with discussing something?
Pit Row
That's something you and I can agree on.
