Has anyone on here ridden any of the new ones? I have a possible deal available and am just not sure about them. I hope to get to ride one first, but anyone with any experience with them...please let me hear ya. I have ridden Suzuki's for a good while now and love the bike. By looking at the Husky, it looks very Euro and I am concerned on how well it handles and turns. I am sure the motor is fine though.

I have a TC450 right now. I bought it before selling my CRF450 to compare. It is the best four stroke of this period of motocross bikes that I have owned (four CRFs in a row).

Hands down The Husky is a better motocross bike for me. The Husky did circles around the CRF in the handling department. The second day of riding it after spending the first sorting out the suspension, I was faster on it. It is more forgiving, handles ruts with ease and doesn't want to stand up in corners or under braking. The bike glides and rails like nothing else I've ever ridden. It's turning is so predictable.

Everyone that rides my bike says the same thing. "It feels different and has a taller Euro feel, but it works real good." The bike has already converted one guy I know that has never owned anything but Hondas.

The Huskys do have their quirks though and you need to spend some time getting the suspension dialed, which was pretty easy to do with sag, clicker and oil level adjustments.

Although the Husky makes more power, its engine doesn't spool up as fast as a CRF, but It can be rectified real easily with a TC250 alternator and flywheel, which is lighter. You can go up 1 tooth in the back sprocket. The bike is fine stock and is real fast, but I only mention this as a comparison to how all the modern bikes are "gun and run". You have to hang it out and have faith on these Huskys. And I have yet to be bitten...

I pitted next to a guy how had a 09 last year. He said he loved it, the handling and power are just insane.

Shue, The new ones are 100% better that the one that Kyle "INStyle" Kelly had!! hahha..

Al BS aside, I rode an 09 450 and it was damn good! Will not turn like your RMZ but what the hell you are not on a SX track anymore. Who is selling Huskys in the Atl now?

MXA tested the 250 and said the motor needed more power but the hadling and suspension was good. I think they tested the 450 last year. If I can find the issue I'll let you know.

Shue, Husky/BMW even warranty their bikes. Tell me another mfg. that will do that on a dirt bike? If you live in Calif. all of their MX bikes are Green Sticker also.

TC510 here, great bike.In fact heading out in few to go throw some with buds. MXA tested it last year. IIRC the only complaint was need to lose a few lbs...but then again so does every 4 stroke. Try one , think you'd be surprised and extremely reliabe, easy to work on.

Are Huskys still designed in Sweden, and manufactured in Italy, or is all work done in Italy these days? Old Cagiva factory from memory.

He will give you a true perspective of their capabilities. Honestly, I like them. They could be enhanced in the design up front but overall they look good. If you are working a deal that means you have access to parts. Parts would be my only concern.

Husqvarna was bought 2 years(?) ago by BMW from MV Agusta. They are still produced in Italy and I believe designed in Italy under the leadership of BMW.

I have a 54 inch Husky with a Briggs V twin. Runs smooth, cuts level and turns a lot better than my old Poulon. They hydrostatic tranny works great also. Anyone know where I can get graphics for it? Laughing

My first 125 was a 79 125CR came with Renthal's and Ohlins. Sounded like a firecracker in a coors can. Loved the Mikuni 38mm. It was a tall somebitch. Looked very similar to that one. Black aluminum tank, less cylinder. The cylinder was wider then it was tall.

I have a tc450 and agree 100% with dirthead1. I have been on Yamaha's mostly but switched to Husky's a few years ago first with a CR125 and now with the TC450. Bottom line, I think they are junk for a Pro level rider...I personally know several Pros that have tried to race them the past few years and have had nothing but problems. Blown motors, broken frames, clutches lasting less than 45 minutes etc.

They are probably alright for the average rider but not for a Pro...especially someone with a MX background....

WOW...wasn't really expecting this much response to this, but thanks everyone. I don't ride as much as I used to and I am sure not quite as hard either. I was told the contingency was good too....although I haven't seen anything on that yet. Not sure of the shops name yet, but my contact is Joey Casey. He works there and is the one responsible for trying to get something done. He has asked me to come meet the owner and see what we can do. He did say that I may be able to get some factory parts as well. So that would be really cool!! We will see. I will keep you all posted and let you know when I ride one.

In MXA the engine made a lot of buzz because they claim it's the lightest and the smallest four stroke engine ever built in mx (I assume 2350/450, but was at times a nightmare to start, had in general too little power and as someone mentioned in the wrong spot. Got cred for handling and ok suspension, they liked the rear Sachs shock I think? They said the steel frame was good because it's forgiving in ruts etc.
