You have a boy with a TON of heart and you must be proud, Congratulations!!! I was at Pala today and he and Pourcel, who also has a ton of heart, were just going at it. My hair, what little I have, was standing up it was so evident !!!!! Congrats Trey !!!!!!

I agree. Congrats Momma Canard. I can't remember the last time I was brought to tears seeing a #1 plate being presented. Your boy is a genuine kid w/real heart and watching him hold that #1 plate up had me all wet. I had to explain to my 4 yr old why daddy was crying..lol

Brought a tear to my eye. It has to be hard to lose your dad, but Momma Canard has to be proud of her son. Trey has a big heart!!! That is a True Champion!!!

Seriously, great job on raising your boys. I know you must be proud. I don't have children, but I've been thinking this all season long so I might as well say it now: if i had kids, I would want them to look up to your son more than any other pro on the track!

BQ warned everyone to look out for an upcoming Trey at the end of his amateur career. Good things do happen to good people and with a work ethic like his he will continue to get good results.

I agree with everything, and I am sure no one is more proud than you.

Enjoy the moment!

But as a fan, the best thing about watching Trey's recent success is his demeanor and how he has not changed who he is. His character has remained the same and it's his character which ultimately will earn him more respect than his championships.

This actually goes for both Trey and Christophe, they both act like classy champs, whether they are winning or in defeat.

PS - Seriously, what's it gonna take to get a fender slap from him though??

I missed his podium speech because a business associate came by to drop of some papers right during the podium. Anyone have a clip?

In the broadcast, she looked a bit lost for words, but, what parent wouldn't be? As a father, I'd be extremely proud if my son turned out to be the man TC has become, even if he never rides a dirtbike. A lot of great families in moto, but many don't get the recognition they deserve, part of what makes em great I guess.

mom241, you can take pride in the way you have raised your son. That young man is one of the nicest and polite individuals in the MX paddock.

Congrats to Trey on a hard fought championship.

X2 on the canard comments, his podium speech had me a little choked up, I lost my dad afew years ago and when Trey mentioned his dad, just made me reflect on what a good dude Trey is! #38 has a fan for life met him several times and never had a bad thing to say about the kid. His Mom should be proud she did a great job . Well done Turbo, u deserve all that you got,

Congrats to the Canards. Trey seems like a great person, and he worked hard to win this. Bummed that Pourcel got hurt. They had some great battles the second half of the season.

Comes as no surprise...... Trey's the real deal. A real feel good moment.

Learned alot about Christophe this year. Hard to believe I'll be rooting for him in the coming years.

To have Trey and Dungey as champions at the same time can only benefit the sport. Not sure the sport has ever been better represented...?

Great family.....glad to see Trey getting that #1 plate.

The things that his parents have instilled in him are clearly coming through and the result is a champion.

Thanks to everyone. You're making me cry all over again and
tarnish my tough as nails reputation. The only thing I hate worse than
mice is cameras--hate it. I'm also going to burn the pink shirt now
that the season is over.

Trey and Aaron both had their dad during some very important
formative years. Trust me, he was WAY nicer than me, so he gets
a lot of the credit. Seems like he was here for the tough times,
but missed out on the best things. Anyway, I was truly blessed to
have three great sons--proud of them all. I have had a lot of help
in the last 7 years, but if I try to list people I'll leave someone out.
So thank you all for all your help.

Nice to see some Vital folks. Even met BobbyM.

It's always awesome to see someone genuinely excited about winning instead of being just "super pumped". Congrats Canard Family!
