I don't have a timer on my bike but I have been using this for about a week and it's pretty cool. Gives you a full analyzation of you're route and maps it as well. http://www.mapmyride.com. You can sign up here but need to have a smartphone to use it.

Can't wait to get back out on my bicycles and put some effort into training, been out for 5 weeks following a nasty concussion.
Driving me nuts, getting strava notifications logging my mates' progress, while i'm benched.
Tried Strava on tonights ride......I could see how that could get addicting. I just hit record, then put my phone in my camelbak and it knew when I hit the trail and thats when it started recording. The times of other riders are cool to look at too.
