It would be cool to see a go pro video without a huge visor blocking the view of the cockpit/handle bars! Anyone done this yet? Mike metzger style?

yea I'm a fan of the side mount, even though it can be a little distorted sometimes, especially with throwing a whipper snapper.

it would be cool to see a moto video that didnt use a god damn helmet cam. everybody and their mother uses helmet cams to cover up their weak ass steez

It all depends on where you mount it on the helmet. As far as possible forward? No visor. I had one mounted on Jake Weimer's Bell Moto 9 yesterday, and it had to be mounted pretty far rearward, which means some visor view.

There is an alternate mount that'll make an appearance in that One Lap vid. Smile

I might go for a ride tonight on the rm, if so I will post a video without the visor on it..and see how it looks
another mount i have is a chest mount, it mounts it near the center of your chest..makes for a good angle

I tried mounting mine on the upper part of my chest protector and have left it there ever since. I love it there. Once met a guy that mounted his on the bottom of his visor. Believe it or not I tried his helmet on and didn't notice it was there unless I stared up toward his visor. I want to try to mount it low on my helmet in front by the mouth guard area. Saw Dave Mathews drum solo with a Gopro dangling from his mouth, cool view.

Ya let me know! If it looks good I'm going to make a cut out visor that allows you to see the cockpit and bars, and isn't blocking half the video. Also would allow the lens to be shaded.

I'm thinking it would look a hell of a lot better with a more rear mounted view, but no visor. A view of the cockpit, but not angled too far down where you can't see what's coming up. Plus what is the use of a visor anyways? Especially with all the goggle options nowadays?

Th reason I'm kinda harpin on it, is because I can't afford a gopro. But I have a deal on a new iPod touch for 40$. With the shape and mounting situation I'm going to be forced to run it without one. But if it doesn't look bomb, the. I might not buy it.

The itouch would also open up a lot of options. Like screen share, my pops could watch me practice from his ipad
