Will someone please tell me why team Yamaha hasn't given him Hepler or GL's bike? Are you kidding me? He was the only Yamaha in the top 20 at GH, and he is still recieiving no help. He just passed Gracyk and is now working on facotry rider Byrne.

Is that a guess or what they said?

In that heat it's not hard to believe the lawn mower engines are getting hot.

Hey Moto if having your fuel boil soo bad that you run out with 4 laps to go then I guess that you are right bud. Keep the dream alive!! Funny how you can bust your ass for 25 minutes while running 7 and coming from around 20th to come on and have you say that. BTW why dont you have a look at some of the "Big Names" that passed out after moto 2 in both classes!!

Had I had the webcast on to know what happened I wouldn't have said that, all I saw was the lap times dropping then disappear. Despite what that post may appear I'm pulling for you this season and was stoked watching you do work on the factory boys at Glen Helen. Good luck for the rest of the season and hope to see you get some more support for next year.

Hammy was laying the wood to 'em in the first moto. Made some of the factory guys nervous, I'll bet. Hill in particular, who looked like he was on the back side of a three day drunk...

Can someone break down this fuel boil deal.
I remember it happening at the Colorado rounds to a TON of riders as well.

Nothing worse than having an entire moto worth of work get stripped away in the last few laps.

Gotta love those 4-strokes and their gazillion degree engines & header pipes.

Good work SH !

dang that sucks, keep at it Sean. get some of that pro circuit stuff for you gas tank to keep the temp down and maybe prevent it from boiling, if you don't have it already! keep it going for the privateers, it's great to see you out there giving it to the factory guys!

If you heat the gas up enough so the vapor pressure of the fuel exceeds the atmospheric pressure, it boils in the float bowl and the bike quits because the jets get starved for fuel. Bikes do it at Lakewood because atmospheric pressure is lower there, and they did it in Texas because the air is hotter. Four strokes do it worse than two strokes because the carbs are closer to the head and there's very little air flow in there to cool them off. Also, beause four strokes just suck in general.
