Ok, just wondering everybodys thoughts on French riders and the success they acquired while over here. Essentially, which rider had the most success? The list I have on my mind is Bayle, Pichon, Tortelli, DV934, and Christophe Pourcel.

I'd say Christophe Pourcel. Mainly because how he does it, after his injury and the style he carries with himself.

Tortelli was pretty badass, my dad said he saw Vuillemin when he first came to america and was the squirliest rider he's ever seen hahaha.

Add Marvin Musquin to that list after 2011.

Roncada was a beast. He just about beat Bubba straight up at a las vegas sx... Can't remember which year. Why did he just quit racing? I can't remember him really getting hurt, I just remember the whole vicodin thing.... Surely that's not why he hung it up. Hope not.

Bayle for sure, but then I'll put DV. Ronron and Cp might have killed it on 125 but hey, it's just the small class. DV could have sandbag over there and collect 6 titles with one hand. Instead he came close to beat the Mac and Rc for a title once for each of them, and beat every modern legend at least once. One less photoshoot session before Daytona in 02 and he'd be a legend himself.

actually Ronron shoots(extremly good stuff actually) as a hobby and works for the video games company that brought you games like Supercross XL on Iphones.

Bayle no doubt. Then Pichon. CP has potential do be the best though.

,,

A picture of Bayles trophy room,, I was a fan of Pichon, Tortelli, Roncada and DV and the rest, but Bayle won 3 titles in one year, 250 MX, 500 MX ,and SX , so hes the best so far,

Pourcel has two sx regional titles, so hes equal to Pichon results wise, but if he can gain the 2010 MX 250 f title,IMO, then hes higher than Pichon, and closer to what Bayle. did racing in the US.

RonRon also did a lot of work for Rainbow Studio's back in the day.....may still work for them , not sure. If I remember right , he created all the stock tracks in the "Motocross Madness 2" game and then quite a few tracks after wards as add ons. I was also thinking he may of helped out some how with the MX vs ATV stuff as well.....but not 100% positive on that.

DV gave MC hell here in the states when nobody else at that time could even run with McGrath.......so HUGE props to him.

Bayle.....Basically made stanton look like an INT rider at times and was waaaayyy.....ahead of the rest of the world with his style and finesse.

Pichon and Tortelli both were awesome riders! Tortelli was a God Damn animal on a bike! If he felt good on a certain day , and you had him on your rear fender.....you knew you were going to have problems.

CP......his career here isn't even close to being over.....but from what I see , he could surpass everyone else on the list. He's just that good!

I've always liked DV but you honestly think he could have won 6 titles over here... with one hand? Grinning Tortelli possibly, but not Vuillemin. (Sorry David Wink )

Contrary to popular American (or in your case Canadian) belief, its not necessarily always the best GP riders that move to America.
