Any other way to express/vent? I don't feel like creating an account to this facebook or twitter or anything else that seems to be "with the times" for that matter. I mean I'm all about change but only if it's for the better! This just doesn't seem better...

I agree with the OP, This is BS but wasn't it pointed out last season that it is actually Speed TV that is calling the shots on this situation?

Feld isn't losing if we hear the webcast and dont tune in, Speed is, so F Speed channel.

Having only an hour recap show pisses me off to the point I dont even want to go to any races.

Nope....
Feld claims to have used the Webcast money for more events on live TV.

Feld was never smart enough to make decent profit's from their live media webcast.
So it is the fans that have to suffer, not it's employees.
Which is BS!
Send those idiots to the unemployment lines, get people in there that know what to do with live media and make the fans happy.
If it wasn't for us fans, they would not have a sport.
Not to mention it takes exposure away from the Pro teams & riders and without them, there wouldn't be a sport.

well haven't been paying attention, actually just noticed tonight but there was definitely talk from several sources discussing Speed's stranglehold on SX. One of the reasons for no coverage on ESPN and other outlets. I think it was also discussed on the various podcast shows.

I suppose it doesn't matter, we're stuck with their hour long recap of shit.

Feld pays to have Supercross put on SpeedTV.
Live Speed broadcasts are a step in the right direction.....
But screwing the fans out of live media coverage isn't.

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me unless ALL the races are on live TV.

How much can an audio webcast cost anyway?

Is it possible Feld thinks the webcast negatively affected the TV numbers (live or not) in any way?

I highly doubt that the webcast effected the TV numbers....
People heard the audio, then wanted to see what they heard about.

I think they made some outrageous claim of 50k a show.
Which is complete BS.
BornA'Lil2Slow who posts on here laid it all out and called their bluff and even threw out some more realistic numbers.
Him and I also talked on here in a thread about bullet-proof ways they could have made that webcast profitable over the years...
The people running the webcast, just do not have the know how.

maybe so but webcast was for sure being blamed as one reason making it difficult for Speed to sell commercials and then they also had an excuse for not allowing some of the "magazine type shows" as they were called, to supply any SX coverage.

To Hell with both, if not for dvr I wouldn't see any of their boring recap. Holley and Weege done more to hype the highlight show than anything else they have going.

I don't see how MX Sports can air live video feed than live audio feed for FREE but Feld (a multi million dollar company) can't.

I just don't see how an audio webcast could affect selling television commercial time. Who ONLY listened to the webcast last year and DIDN'T watch the race later on TV?

I get it for the races shown live on TV, but otherwise it makes no sense to me.

I doubt i will even bother watching the TV coverage.
I always used to look forward to watching it after the listening to the Live Webcast.
Now, I really don't give a shit.

Oh, and limiting the media outlets to only 2:00 videos on their SX pit coverage is the most retarded thing ever (besides dropping the webcast)...

FUCK YOU, Feld.

I agree, never made sense then but it was mentioned when it wasnt free anymore. Who knows, SX is far from NFL stature so I could see TV pulling the strings.

Maybe it's like the 4 stks. First, it was so cheap not to go all 4 stk that it was a no-brainer(existing infrastrcture) and then it cost so much to change that there is no going back.

Having 15 years experience myself in internet marketing....
I laid out a bulletproof way (with maybe 30 seconds of thought) on here that they could make millions a year off of this webcast. Wink
Without having to charge anyone, without having any sort of sponsors giving them money, etc.

I'm here to tell you that people that were running the webcast are idiots, for not being able to greatly profit from it in this day & age.

And if there were a live audio webcast, people would be bitching about that or something going on with it.
No win for Feld. Easier on them to just end it and be done with it.

So don't blame them, blame everyone that continually bitched, moaned, and groaned about it when it was on.

Me? I could give a shit less either way.
