1998 KX 250 smoker.
Start's right up, Idle's fine, Run's fine till I wick it open, Then sputter's bad!!!
I clean my filter after every ride. I took off my carb and cleaned it knowing damn well that wasen't the problem. Still sputter's... Took off my top end to see if the exhaust valves were gummed up. Clean as a whistle.. Reed's look fine. Repacked the silencer, Even though it wasen't ready(Did it about a month ago).
The O-Ring's on the pipe a worn a little(Where it goes in the head). But I can't see that making it run poorly. Can it?? I'll replace them after work but I really don't think that's my problem!!
Could it be an electrical problem?? I don't see how, But that's all that's left. What the hell am I missing?? Compression check show's 140 pound's. Book say's spec's are117-168.... Thank's for any help!!!!!

Swapped the plug, but it looked good.
I have recentaly changed from Spectro to Amsoil! Running the same mixture 50-1 like I have since it was new!
Screw you Cygnus!!!! J/K... I can't belive I can't figure this one out!!! WTF!!!
CDI box and coil is gonna be my next guess, But I can't see either one being intermittant!
She's like new!!! One owner, low mile's, no rust, non smoker(Smoker), Never raced, never abused.......I'm a good salesman!!!! And a liar!!!!!
I thought it either had spark or not! Guess I was wrong...... Not the first time though!!!!

cygnus has the right idea with electrical. swap stator first, then CDI.. almost never coil
eh, swap CDI first since it's easiest... but more than likely it's your stator.
(Recently bought it used so I dont know when the top end was last done)
