ive been looking everywhere on the net, and cant find any info on Honda's EFI programming tool for their new 450.

Kawi has a pretty extensive video posted here that goes into great depth the features of there EFI software:

- comes with 7 preset maps
- soft terrain, hard terrain, lean, rich, advanced timing, retarded timing, beginner
- all supplied preset maps are fully adjustable
- create your own map
- data logger (rpm's & gearing)
- mounts behind number plate

my question is, does anyone know what to expect from Honda's setup? will it come with preset maps or will it be up to us VERY amateur (when it comes to EFI) public to try and figure it out ourselves.

which brings me to ask, just how dangerous will these tools let us go? i guessin' quite a few people are gonna blow some motors up while trying to learn.

will Honda's have a data logger? will it come with preset maps?

me personally, im new to fourstrokes, and even newer to efi. i dont wanna hurt anything.

(my brother just bought a nice piece of property, he's given me 6 acres to build a mx track, so im gonna buy a thumper, practice a lot, and probably start racing a lil next year. i love my 2stroke but it will continue to be ridden where it belongs at this point, glamis.)

So with this information present. People have a doosy of a time figuring out suspension. This makes jetting the bike look mild. EFI just made a new business model for the MX Industrie.

Check the CRF450 forum on Thumpertalk. Sounds like the Honda version is not as feature-laden as the Kawi version and also not very user firendly at all.
