Sell just motors? Say you wanted to build a 300 cc electric start go cart . Or maybe stuff one in a crf250 chassis .

Cool I know of a 06 CRF250 thats blown up and not going anywhere soon I might be able to buy it for a song . I haven't built a frankenbike for a while and can't afford a cr500af just yet .

I am going to price it out and see if it's feasable . If I can do this for 3500.00. I just might . I couldn't call the KTM shop here is closed today .

Guys are constantly parting out bikes on ktmtalk.com. That would be a good place to look.

Haven't seen anyone part out a new 300 e-start yet. Good idea though, would be a sweet ride.

KTM is testing an aluminum frame now, but they are also testing a new CM steel frame.

Honda does.. We bought a brand new complete engine for a TRX450 quad last year to race the Baj500. It was cheaper than rebuilding the whole thing. Well not cheaper, but pretty close. They give you a CRT of origin for the engine, and you just update your registration.

They don't sell motors but if they did they would cost as much as the complete bike. His suggestion was to buy a clapped out 300 or 250 and rebuild. The 300 cylinder slips on the 250 cases.
