Say i wanted to design my own graphics. How do I find the template for my exact bike with the correct dimensions?

If you have the bike, just measure it yourself to get the dimensions.

It's actually not that difficult once you know what you're doing and how to do it. It doesn't involve measuring. It's a different technique entirely. The hardest part is getting someone with each bike to give it to you to make templates.

The benefit of your own templates is you know how each panel lines up to make all the lines flow which is much harder to do when you buy templates.

Yeah I'm really just getting into it, thought it would be cool to design my own stuff and maybe do it for other people once I get the hang of it

Measuring isn't the best way to do it. You're working on a curved three dimensional surface that gets flattened to print. Once you put curves in, you're measurements aren't accurate.

Alright that makes sense, I'll probably use some off of one of those links and mess around with it

most times you would use some kind of tape, usually blue masking tape, lay it on the piece of plastic and cut off excess to make your template exactly how you want then transfer the dimensions onto whatever program youre using. Or the easier way is to buy a good template, print it and make adjustments to that.

use blue painters tape to cover the area completely, then slowly peel it off, stick it to a sheet of paper, trace the shape with a marker, scan it 1:1, then import into your design software...

WTF lol, just buy the templates from that link above they are spot on. I will tell you though, if you are wanting to design them....... then have someone print them good luck. It is a NIGHTMARE for the guy having to decipher what is going on and usually ends up with someone being butthurt (not the guy with the printer). It's not a matter of getting the templates and making designs. Lot more to it. If you are just wanting to LEARN than go for it but plan on being frustrated and wanting to punch a few babies along the way. Laughing

Honestly just buy or try and find the one you want, print up a dummy copy on some a3 and cut it, tape it, check it, and then design.

Nothing will piss you off more than if you get em produced and they're not right. From that end, better to buy and be on the right path from the get go.
