That fucking god awful excuse for music did, in actual fact, make both of my ears throw up so yes it was a sick video.

Well i wouldn't call it sick by any means, Metal just doesn't work with slow motion.

Next time pick a song that complements the video, not just any odd metal song you like.

My 2 cents

i dont get the editting of moto videos these days......we all now that corner speed and line selection is what separates men from boys......still most of what we see is straight line jumps, and lots of them in slow motion.....
its hard to find trainning or testing videos that i like...!!!!

Luke got this right. The music is only there if you focus on it. A good soundtrack simply bridges featured sounds. I like that we could hear the bikes. Good mix of action, angles and camera movement. When was the last time you heard a bike idle?

Well I say you're wrong and the video is great. Obviously music is subjective so I don't know how you could think you're giving "productive criticism"... more like "I want it to be different because I personally don't like the music" criticism...

Same goes to anyone else who didn't like it (the music). How do you think I feel every time I hear rap in these damn videos? I HATE IT, but I don't complain about it. I just enjoy the visual aspect.

Btw, my favorite parts were when the camera was moving along the side of the track (I'm guessing in a truck or side by side).... Every video you see is with someone standing still and turning side to side.

I liked it...but I don't think it reached the level of "sickness" all those exclamation points in the thread title implied...

Before you get all twisted up about my comment on metal, I live and breath Metal, Alternative Metal, Rock, Alternative Rock and have done all my life.

When did i write the words i dont like Metal music ?

I feel that Metal doesnt work with slow motion or MX videos, ask any core moto fans and they will tell you the same thing.

The video its self was good to watch, but could have been taken to a different level with the right sound track that would compliment the video, i dont care for the genre just as long as it flows.

Lets take this vid as an example:

Now im not a fan of that type of music, but i works well and compliments the video.

It means he's a douche-bag that thinks using the term 'bro' to imply his understanding of cool uncoolness, is cool. In other words, he thinks cool surrounds him and his wit to boot. He's probably a C slass rider who will claim that he's an A rider. He probably even has stories about "chicks" he's been with. Best to ignore and let him have his say. And stay away from anyone that thinks he's even remotely cool.

First off, I didn't say you don't like metal. I just said you don't like the music that went with the video. And I still stand behind that point. Just because you don't like it doesn't make you right... or constructive in saying that it doesn't fit. And I'm not even going to respond to the "core" remark.

Metal definitely works in slow-mo. Depends on the band/song, but yes it can work. The song that was used isn't even a high tempo.

Put a heavier song over the example video you provided and it would be more "intense". That's obviously NOT what they wanted so they kept the music light (which is great, its a good video). That's all Luke was trying to do by using a heavier song with his video... create intensity, and it worked imo.

This really isn't something worth discussing further. Might as well argue about art. If he used a country song i'd say "cool", if it were rap (again) i'd say "cool", any other music, "cool".... With this video though, I say "awesome!!!" because I like hard rock/metal and it's nice to see/hear something different. it's my kind of "art".
