I'm out in the garage working on a barrowed bike. My KTM has been broken for 6 months and I can't afford the $3200 to fix it! Gotta love that!

Anyway, I'm changing the oil on a 2003 CRF 450 and I don't know exactly how to drain the transmission oil!!! The bolt on the engine oil side (near the filter) is pretty long and I'm wondering if that drains both sides. Please help asap! It's late and I have to be at the track at 7:30am!

Thanks!
Chris

May be too late now but, the engine oil and tranny oil drain from the same side on the CRF 450. The engine draing is right near the shifter. It's the bottom right hand bolt in the ignition cover. Should have a 10mm head I think. The tranny drain bolt is on the same side back behind the shifter. It's usually got a 12mm head and is the long bolt you speak of. I think the tranny holds like 770 ml and the engine holds about 650 cc. The tranny side is stamped on the right engine case by the water pump cover. The engine side has a sight glass.

As for the tubes. Take your time and use lots of WD-40 when you get the new ones.

She's on strike. She's holding out for more money! Hahaha

No plans on Arkansas anytime soon. On May 3rd I'm racing a rock racer in Albuquerque in the XRRA series. So far, I'm 3rd in points! If you want, I think it will be broadcast live on Pirate4x4.com.
