A Sprint Enduro is like Supercross compared to Motocross. Usually it's set up in a small area to be spectator friendly. There will be three or four different short loops, ten to fifteen minutes. Most will have a grass track, woods trail, and extreme test sections. A rider has to complete each loop three or four times depending on class.
In the days of old, a real enduro was like the first example with the added challenge of timekeeping. There could be surprise checks to make sure you weren't checking in to a section early to gain advantage. Or emergency checks in sections where it was just about possible to stay on your minute, in these you wanted to check out exactly 30 seconds into your minute with penalty points taken for each second away from that. This form of event was super challenging both physically and mentally. The A.D.D. Generation racing now has no patience for these types of events, and unfortunately they'll never know what they missed.
