That thread about track safety gave me an idea.

What's the worst track you've ever ridden on and what made it so bad?

Illinois state fair race in 2005. The track was crazy, a fairly good sized rythm section, big whoops, but the worst was the step on step off that had you jumping up about 5 feet to teh step on, and that was immediately follwed by a crazy steep do-or-die 90 foot triple that shot riders no less than 25-30 feet up. There were TONS of ER visits (broken femurs, ruptured internal organs, etc), but the kicker is, all the jumps were built over industrial sized dumpsters, which were wider than the jump faces. So if you missed the face, you hit a metal wall.

Tracks started going down hill in the early 80's.

There is a track that I won't ride - been about 4 years now.... no flaggers for practice.
