How many guys on here have bought a new bike this past year or plan on buying one this year??

I know every year I think about purchasing a new bike, but dropping 7g's is tough to do. some BNG's and a few updates here or there seem to keep me happy.

I rarely buy a new bike. I'd buy a late model every now if I find a good deal.
I don't buy new cars either. I'd rather somebody else take the huge first year depreciation.

I bought a new 2007 YZ250 at the beginning of March, sold it and my 09 YZ450 in May when I broke my shoulder and turned around and bought a new KTM 250SX in June when I was allowed to ride again. I am probably going to buy a new 150sx sometime after the new year, and then a new 250sx when the 2012's come out.. I will NEVER buy another 4 stroke, and once new 2 strokes start costing more than 7g's(luckily my local shop will sell me bikes at cost) I wont be buying anymore new bikes, or at the very least forgo getting a new one every year

Last new bike I bought was a 07 CR85 for the youngest son. Bought him a lightly used 08 KTM144 in 09. With the closest track 100 miles away it's difficult to justify pulling the trigger on a new bike. Besides, most of my racing is in the vintage classes. Not at all interested in the new 4 strokes, still have a couple of them in the garage that I bought new in 01 and 04. I buy, sell, trade and restore a lot of bikes and spend a shitload on parts and accessories and agree with the original posters remarks about a few updates here and there keeping me happy. The new bikes today have so few improvements over the previous models that it just doesn't make sense to keep buying a new bike every year unless you have the luxury of getting in so much ride time that you are completely clapping one out.

I've never bought a new bike and don't plan on it anytime soon. I'd rather find a good used bike and let the other person take the huge hit on the price. We got my 2007 Crf250r in 2008 off of a guy on craigslist for half of what they were sold retail and it only had 10 hours on it.

We bought a new KX 65 last year, and well as far as "big bikes" the only one worth it's salt is a bike made by the master builder.
AJ.
Service Honda.
Those bikes hold thier value for years, and well most don't want to sell them once purchased.
