Mike tweets " Failure is not a failure if you learn something"

He must be learnin' a lot.

Like "Don't bring a knife to a gun fight!"

Negative. Here is what they wrote...

Under Mike Alessi's contract, he doesn't have to race Supercross if he doesn't want to. It's official after Oakland—he doesn't want to. Will he keep going?

They are only speculating that it could happen.

Bob, if Mike wants out of his contract, I imagine Roger would gladly make it happen.

Short is sitting 7th in points now on that "slow" 350. It's not the bike.

Imagine if Honda hired some poor sucka to race their CRF 150 in the lites class...against those PC monsters....yeah but it would be 2 lbs lighter and easier to ride, blah blah blah......okdoky, good luck with that....

Team 1-800-Collect, Red-Bull Motorsports, with Suzuki 450's!

I know the crf150 wasn't made for that "purpose" like the KTM was to compete against the 450's, it was of a metaphorical comparision...regardless, nothing beats CC's when it comes to making good tractable power to get holeshots and win races.
sheesh

I don't get why everyone is bagging the bike. Most companies struggle the first year of a new model. Even the mighty factory Honda team did in '09. Short is getting top 10 and even if he was still on his Honda I seriously doubt he would be higher than 5th. Last year he struggled with health problems and he never won (I think) and that was without Reed, Stewart, Canard and Villopoto for part of the season.

The bike is fine but it's still under development. It may take a year but it's definitely good enough to make a main event on as shown by Short and the JDR team. Alessi's problem seems to be more based on confidence and he seems unhappy. I wish he'd do the GP's to switch it up.

MXA is not a good source to get information from when it comes to riders being in or out.

That sounds like it could be a pretty good idea at this point. It could also mean career death if he doesn't do well there, either.
