Looks like it is going to be another fast main tonight . Canard was running 53s in the first practice so one would have to think that the top 450s will be in the 48 to 50 range. Sad

Yeah, still waiting to see if Sipes' time is for real or if it was a track cut/timing error.

If not, the kid is hauling.

I think you are right, it changed. Suks because it would have been good to see him up there.

49s seem odd - isn't that a baseball stadium with a big floor?

Hasn't San Francisco always had short lap times? Something about not being able to cover part of the field or something like that.

Yeah that is where the Giants play and I thought it was pretty big last time I was there.

Interesting - I seem to remember lots of pain in the ass stuff about the dirt there vis-a-vis environmental issues. Good grief. It's dirt, people, along with water it's the building block of life.

If they are going to keep the lap times under one minute, they need to add the semi qualifiers back or go to 20 minutes plus two laps for us fans to get our monies worth

I think you are right, I remember reading that they had to set up silt fences to keep anything from running off towards the bay.

You have to remember, this race is in SF, the TREE HUGGER capital of the world! They probably have to use organic dirt to build this track, and organic dirt is really expensive.
