Hey Experts,

In my area there are 3 2014-2015 RMZ 450's for sale and they are legit all listed around $3200-4000, all pretty clean. Compared to other brands of the same year that's a solid 1000-1500 lower, if not more...

So the question...

As the brand 'sunsets' are these junk or what??? is 'getting parts' in the future a concern?

I have a 2003 RM 250 two stroke that still screams with basic maintenance.

Curious what others think...

Great bikes, I don't see parts being a problem for a long time.

I got an 18 rmz250 after I got hurt and sold my 19
Honda 450...I love the thing. Rocky Mountain carry’s all the parts you need + OEM..and there’s no better feeling then being the only guy at the track on yellow and blowing past ktm riders Laughing in all seriousness the bikes great. Don’t listen to the know it all’s

That's a good price range for those bikes. RMZ 450's are solid reliable bikes....with that being said 2015 was the first year of the TAC air forks. Not impossible to find a good setting on those forks, but very difficult. I struggled with my '15, but if the price is around $3000, you can't beat that.

Your situation reminds me of myself....I had a '05 RM 250 that I sold to get into the RMZ. Yes, I regretted it. But I chalk it up to learning.

Not junk at all. Problem is with their untrue rep from the idiots that have never ridden them. That's all it is. You don't buy an RMZ250/450 for resale value because it's quite a bit lower than the rest, but the bike is totally fine. Go grab the cleanest one. I prefer the 15 forks over the 14.

That's a good price assuming it's low hour/well maintained. Other than graphics, it's basically a 2021 Suzuki 450 you are buying

Amazing bikes, they're bullet proof and won't let you down. Parts crossover for most things from 08 to 21. A spring conversion for the fork is the best upgrade but not needed.
