Suzuki bucks the trend and goes with a black rear fender! The Mulisha will be proud.

Suzuki also steps up to the big bore kit out of the box:

"Compact and lightweight 4-stroke, 499cc, fuel-injected, DOHC engine provides extraordinary torque for awesome acceleration from idle to redline, with incredible high-rpm power."

Nice

Such a beautiful machine, but damn that things need yellow sideplates in a bad way! I see they went to a yellow front plate, so they are part way there!

I think it looks awful, way too much black. The factory team bikes are among the best looking but this is out there.

They had a yellow front plate the last year or two. Or maybe it was just the 250F.

The added black makes it look somewhere between last years RMZ and a MCR ..

This whole time I thought that Suzuki was going out of business. I guess not. Hopefully the world doesn't end this year either.

I believe the zooks have had aluminum tanks ever since they went to EFI, at least on the 450.

Tanks have been alum ever since going to EFI.

I don't like black on dirt bikes, looks like shit before it's ridden and will look even worse after. Puke...

(edit)
Down South got the holey.

where is their 85?
It's in the lineup. Suzuki's text says...

The 2013 RM85 and RM85L carry on the powerful tradition of racing excellence in the Suzuki RM and RM-Z family. Their robust two-stroke engines produce smooth power at any RPM, with an emphasis on low- to mid-range performance. Like all Suzuki motocross bikes, the RM85 and RM85L deliver class-leading handling performance, appreciated by both amateur racers and future champions. With its smooth power delivery, loads of mid-range and lightweight handling, the 2013 RM85 and RM85L are perfect motocross bikes for riders of all skill levels.

If I were to translate, I think it'd be that it's basically unchanged from last year.

I'm apparently in the minority here but damn to me that color scheme is ugly. I hate black on a dirt bike. It looks beat in 5 seconds,

Is it just me, or the pics, but does the plastic look like a darker shade of yellow?
6/28/2012 10:28am
I hate to join in the neg here... but yeah these are ugly. Sad Being in retail.. it's amazing how much the way something LOOKS decides how it sells. Of course why spend 8K on something you don't like visually?

All of the plastics companies just got stoked. They will be selling a lot of yellow fenders/side panels and white fork protectors.

I thought so too. My take on the black plastic is this. Is it cheaper for them to make black plastic vs. yellow, white, or any other color?
