09 sx mx sound level

From what I know, I don't think it's going to drop that fast, that soon. Eventually it will be down to that, but I think that's a few years away.

If they tested the sound with the bikes running above idle it might make a difference. 2 smokes rule

i think they were shooting for 2010 for 94 db and 09 was 96db but with then AMA and FIM making rules together i know the FIM wanted 94 sooner than later which to me is a good thing. darn fartsrokes are way too loud....

I just hope it pushes the aftermarket companies to make there exhaust to be at the same levels.

I like noise also. Have you ever heard an F-18 at low level flight? But people that are trying to limit riding areas etc., still look at motorcycles as, "them wild hells angel types". They also wear Crocs. That in it self should explain why they are like that. Even if the noise levels get down to 88db, they will still come after riding areas.

I'm all for 94db... but those damn rule makers have to make the rules a little bit earlier than a week before the season starts.

Catch up guys, GPs have been 94 all year long. The real question on how to get worthwhile testing is how to implement dynamic noise testing. Testing bikes, Full noise on the fly by has to be the way forward. That way you can't have any of the sneeky tricks like PC use to get through scrutineering.
