I watched a video where they interviewed Rookie and talked about the jump, he could not make the corner after the 2nd jump, he said he tried a few times but couldnt do it. as for being given the green light he says that he rolled through on the first lap and then decided on the 2nd lap to just go for it. He does say in the interview he was worried about the other riders on the track. If it was me attempting a jump like that I would make sure the section is clear, he is in the air for way to long to trust a rider will hold his line for 250 feet ahaha

Dang near wiped out that other rider in the second video. Seems overly irresponsible to me. You want to catch big air, fine, but do it someplace you won't kill another rider.

1st off, I love riding, I love this sport.
How well do you think this sport will continue if we ride without consciousness that there are other riders on the track? I don't care at all what he did was dangerous to himself...., I care that what he did put another rider at risk whom I am sure did not want to be put in that situation. This sport will die if we don't start watching out for each other.

Yeah it's dangerous but so is every open ride day or practice. It all worked out so I'd say no harm no foul. I can see how some would be upset but do they have a stake in it? Probably not. The guy he jumped over probably tossed out his undies after that moment though

Yea I accept it's dangerous, that's a given. But there is a time and a place for THAT kind of dangerous. You got two other riders ROLLING the jumps on the track, and this guy comes in and quads that.... with them out there? Protect the new riders man, they are the life blood to the sport. This is what is killing this sport and it pisses me off to no end.

What do you mean killing the sport? This sport has never been as big as it is right now? And yes ofc it should be under circumstances wich includes control. Jump a big jump with no one on the track would be better. But he had to be given a green liught to go? Otherwise this would be stupid at its fullest potentinal. I dont think he randomly felt like, damn i gonna do this quad. And the slower rider accidently went on the track pretty much at the same time as he was airborn ? Thats just my personal opinion. I dont see this sport being destroyed by a talanted young boy attempting a big ass jump. I do agree that you should not do such a jump if there is someone on the track at the location on the track.

I agree, he probably was given the green light in the first video, as not a soul was on that section. That is fine with me, and it was hella cool to see that kind of talent. Props to him.

I am talking about the second video... no way was he given the green light the second time..... TWO very slow riders were "accidentally" on that section of the track?,no, they both didn't just randomly appear. I do think he just went for it that time. And that was very wrong.

I just don't like seeing the guys that really keep this sport alive (tons of average, slow riders that pay RETAIL) getting stepped on by the guys that are benefiting from their participation. Disregarding their safety is backwards, we should be watching out for and encouraging them, not nearly taking their fucking heads off.

For some reason it feels like someone have made a stupid move to you? I see your point?
But it feels to me like you judge everyone because some certain individuals can do crazy things ?

My personal feeling is that nearly every better rider is always trying to be nice and to encourage and give positive feedback to the beginner or slower rider with advices both on the bike and for the track.

And maybe you are right , maybe not but he already made the jump and had a feeling for it, he is 16 years old i cant blame young guys for doing crazy things, when you are a teenager you make stupid mistakes because you have no fear in whatever particular moment? And hopefully someone just said hey that jump was sick but pls dont do those jumps when someone is on the track and i hope the boy will listen and understand? But i must say i´ve seen worse and this time nothing happened and next time it will be under more safe circumstances. Since virtually everyone had a comment of it im sure he hear of it in any form.

Man, I don't want to be pigeon holed into being that guy. I am not. There are some great riders that do allot for this sport. I see that side too. I wish this young and talented rider the very best.

While rolling a section in Motocross you are supposed to stay to one side of the track so you do not collide with the "better" riders on the track who are jumping it.Something which which they did not do,So it's sort of his fault that he almost got hit. the Rider had the same right to jump that as any jump.

that would of been bad if he over jumped 3 feet further and flat landed. someone's got to do the jumps that make us go "wholly crap"!!

Bet he rolled around the corner after. And wouldn't ride the track if it was bumpy. Usually how it is with those guys. Not trying to discount that jump, that was huge

Rookie is an extremely fast and upcoming amateur racer who's won a few am titles on 85s if I'm not mistaken. I've watched him put in some serious work before.

I won't watch this video as I have had enough exposure to unnecessary big air. I enjoy walking more than i do making bad decisions.

No he will go out with poor suspension and do it Wink I´ve bet he got some good support to tune that thing to do clear that jump how many times as he likes lol ! I agreed ! UFR for sure. How old is the lad ?

Not entirely, it's a vet track that isn't nearly meant to be used like this. I rode there recently, and I'm 99% sure he's actually coming from off the track to hit this.

I was there when he did it. He used only the tack. with the run you have it was definitely possible.

More like 15+ years of racing experience. If you can hit that without going off-track, it needs to be changed. Those kind of high-speed leaps on flat ground will get people hurt in a hurry.
