When Ryan Dungey clipped a Tuf-Blox and bent his shifter in the first main event at the Monster Energy Cup, it was a setback, and he quickly went to manual shifting...on the fast straightaway exiting the stadium, over triples...wherever he could. Then it happened again in the second main event, completely shearing the shifter off. But with some guts and perseverance, he turned what could have (and probably would have for a lot of riders) been just a terrible night, and turned it into a second overall.
