TAMBURELLO Started a new thread 85 Cr125 restoration need answers
7/12/2013 9:53am I always buy new bikes and try not to keep them too long.....however the restoration bug got to grips with me and I started this a few months ago.....I am almost finished Except the motor.... I am hoping to solve the corroded magnesium w pump with a new 86 clutch cover...but the bottom end I am assembling is a 85.....Honda...

7/12/2013 8:32am 83-84 have shorter stroke cylinder looks interchangable but isnt....... crankcases different too... smaller chamber .......85-86 interchange but the headstay on the 86 is redundant on 85 the exhaust bridge is a bone of contention on CR s it must be radiused correctly and have plenty of clearance or it will touch and with distasterous results

5/22/2013 6:44pm It would be very difficult to do them in CNC billet.......or at least not practical... there is too much detail The 86 cover (if you can find one) will fit 84 as long as you can obtain a 86 waterpump shaft thats the only difference....
