Understood, I'm wondering if you did want to richen it past a 500 main do you have to go to a 540 instead of a 520? I'm not sure where to find a 510 and if it would actually make it run leaner. In my case, it's suggested to richen the main one step as well as the clip position...

Anyone know if Mikuni has changed their confusing main jet labeling? Some are claiming that a 520 main flows less than a 500... How are you adjusting the base settings (as of 7-28-2020) for the 250 sx as temps are cooling? Digger mentioned that "..that main jet circuit is maxed out right about in that area, 510-515 range." Would it make sense to move the clip to the 3rd position and go to 30 PJ while keeping the rest the same when temps...

The slide is the biggest problem in the jetting. Stock its a 4.0 slide and that's super rich. A 5.75 slide on leaner and cleans up the off idle to 1/2ish throttle and makes it real crisp for better throttle response. If you can ride the bike back to back with stock jetting then change to what I've got it will be like riding two different bikes its that noticeable of change.
