5/20/2026 12:27pm It rode a lot better, but when I installed the 178 I misaligned the carb into the intake boot. I fixed it before I rode it with the 178. I'm wondering if I possibly had an air leak from having the carb misaligned so the 175 main jet didn't get a fair chance.

5/20/2026 6:06am Switched back to the 178 still have the 48 in, and the bike feels a lot better. I’m debating on trying the 48/3rd/175 or 178/40 setup or just leaving it alone.

5/11/2026 9:57pm My air screw is currently one turn out. So without having the clip on the 3rd position to richen the needle jet would that lead me to feeling like the 175 was too lean, and not being able to feel the real improvements going from the 178 to 175?

5/11/2026 9:37pm I’m about 200 feet above sea level 70-85 degrees. The 48 pilot wouldn’t be the cause of the front wheel not picking up as easy? So the 3rd clip position will richen 1/4-3/4 and the 40 power jet will lean 1/2-WOT to balance it?

5/11/2026 6:00pm About 1.5 hours on the new jetting with 32:1 premix. The bike runs crisper and more snappy in the low end. The bike with the stock jetting would wheelie from throttle in 3rd gear, but since changing the jetting it will no longer. Is this a clip position issue or should I go back to the 178 main jet?

The electrode looks good, if you see carbon buildup on the flat surface, you may be able to go slightly leaner.
