No, not for most conditions. It's funny to me that I heard so much crap in the 80s and 90s about my 500s I raced. Now, they sell for more than I ever paid for one and they have this cult following. I raced a Cagiva 500, several YZ 490s, 3-4 CR 500s, a WR 500, a Noleen YZ 360...
I rarely post, always just turns into arguments. Couple of thoughts. 1) I'm amazed they train anywhere near those levels while the season is going, which is almost year round really. They put in some serious workouts at the races if you add up all the practices, qualifying and race times. I'm sore for 2-3 days when I ride that...

Almost anything between those 2. If it has to be one of them, then i guess the 125. Id think any trail specific 250f-300f would be a much better match.
I raced many big bores in the past, 2 stroke and 4 stroke. 2 strokes are much easier to kickstart. I lost a old man off-road class championship once because of a simple stall on my 2003 YZ450F. I tried the fast start method, not the "what you should do drill". Cost me about a minute of kicking, but more...

That sounds like a awfully good deal to me. For us older mostly off-road guys, I think the older/softer feeling frame (4-5 pounds lighter) is better. Next years GasGas will probably follow the KTM and Husky and get the new frame and the spring forks. I'll get rocks thrown at me for this, but I actually like the light AER...

I'm very close to your situation, 57 yoa, knew I needed to get away from the 450 for the last several years. Torn up lots of body parts over the last 40 something years of racing. Offroad practice mostly now, A-rider, but probably closer to the average younger B rider pace now. Occasionally still hit a local MX track. 18...

9 weeks after my surgery. Did my own Rehab, their program was ridiculously slow. Was on MTB bike after 3 months, M/C after 5 months, at about 6 months I did the triple threat at HH100 (A Mtb bike race/100 mile road bike ride and then a 1/2 marathon run on the MTB bike course all in the same weekend...

I hate this for Eli. I snapped mine years ago. Two misconceptions are that there must have been tremendous force for it to have snapped and that it wasn't warmed/stretched out 1st. They rarely snap when you first start working them. It probably snapped as soon as pressure hit it, more because of the quickness of the pressure, the extreme...
