Im new to this forum. I just picked up this 85 yz 250 to run in the 80's evo class. It looks pretty roached but it is actually a very original low hour bike. Took the forks off to start the mechanical restoration before I took pics. I picked it up for 300 bucks and don't even know...

Removed the cylinder to find a very worn out 10 over piston and the power valve actuator in pieces down at the base of the cylinder. Broken into so many pieces I have to look at a microfiche to figure out what parts I need to put it back together and in what order. The guy who was riding...

rebuilt the forks with new seals, bushings, oil and fork boots. New wheel bearings in front plus new brake pads and neck bearings and races. Then pulled the engine out and started taking it apart and finding all of the fun.
