Strange to hear honestly being that it isn't a new venue and felt the same as normal years as far as protocol, but my chick and her sister both were having burning eye issues during the day. I never noticed at all, but I've also done 100 arenacross races in my day that are 100x worse. I didn't leave the stadium and am glad i didn't/don't feel it, but do see how that's a big affect... from my AX days, if you go out and get fresh air it makes a huge difference. As a "mechanic" for one of my...
I did not see or feel any of that yesterday but I did go outside several times (not for that reason). I also saw some people with bloodshot eyes and actually talked to Justin at the end of the night and he looked and sounded terrible.
Justin's argument makes total sense. The side door for the tunnels was perpetually open all day (should be closed when no traffic is passing) as it looks like intakes and exhaust fans for the tunnel were near that location, drawing in gasses. Could totally impact the stands near the tunnels, which sucks for spectators.
That is an awesome shot! Jerry's Phone has been blowing up, so you may have to post that on his FB wall for him to see it
. For those wondering, Did Jerry just run that bike to get attention for one race? I can't answer that, but I can confirm that he does like, and use that CR250...
Him looking a bit vintage in one of the shots I took while making the Video. Love seeing all the support for Jerry. Those saying harsh, or negative things about him, should meet him, watch him ride, and talk to his friends / family beforehand.
Wished we could have teamed up at Spring Creek. I obviously know Jerry too, but not nearly as well as you do ! Always love watching the videos taken by people who know the rider. Be sure to get his Mom and dad in the video, Super cool parents, and full of smiles all weekend. Love modest, and genuine parents...
I made the video that someone else linked to earlier. Jerry Robin is one of the nicest, most approachable kids you will ever meet in our sport. He is totally deserving of sponsorship, and support. Reminds me of a young Wil Hahn, or Ryan Dungey in that regard.
