I'm not sure where numbers like $500 are coming from, but in California that bike would go for far more than that. Somebody just put one on the Vintage Marketplace page on Facebook for $1700 and it was getting plenty of interest. All you need is a plastic kit from DC plastic and a couple of cans of Tahitian Red...
