Nice bike to start with. Good luck with the build. I'll be following. I just picked up an 82 yesterday.. Has 1984 forks on it. Mine is 100% mechanically rebuilt like new, but needs cosmetic restoration.

Hay Gents! I have started a race resto of a 1983 RM250 and I thought I would share the process I go through in doing so. I am not sure which way this build is going to go. Nut & bolt? Mechanical? Cosmetic? Unfortunately or fortunately, depending which side of the debit card you are on, I tend to go overboard on my race restos. A 100 percent mechanical restoration is a must, (especially if it going to hit the track) we can all agree on that. I also like my bikes to look good. That can mean mucho dollars...
